Mr. Aliu Abdulrafiu, The Provost

The Provost

Mr. Aliyu AbdulRauf is a native of Offa, Offa LGA, Kwara State. He was born in 1969.

He attended Army Children’s Primary School, Zaria and finished in 1980. Also attended Offa Grammar School and graduated in 1986.

He proceeded to Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin where he studied Science Laboratory Technology and graduated as an OND holder in 1991.

Mr. Aliyu AbdulRauf is a native of Offa, Offa LGA, Kwara State. He was born in 1969.

He proceeded to Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin where he studied Science Laboratory Technology and graduated as an OND holder in 1991.

He also proceeded to Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti for his HND in Microbiology and graduated in 1995. He observed his one year Youth Service to Federal Government at Padoral Hospital And Maternity in Aba in Abia State in 1995 to 1996. He obtained a professional qualification as an associate member of medical laboratory science council of Nigeria (AMLSCN) at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, Oyo State in 2001.

He proceeded to Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho, Oyo State for his Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Microbiology (PGD) in 2008.

He obtained his Master Degree in Microbiology (M.Sc) in 2011 at Igbinedon University, Okada, Edo State. He also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in 2014 at National teacher’s Institute, Kaduna, Affiliated to National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

He became a fellow in Management Science for Health in 2009.

He is presently pursuing a Professional Training as a fellow in Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria in the University of Ile-Ife , Osun State.

He started his working career in 1987 as a Laboratory Assistant with the then Kwara State Teaching Service Commission.

He also worked as the Deputy and Head of the Medical Laboratory Science at the Kwara State Specialist Hospital, Offa.

He also worked at the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa as a Lecturer, Head of the Medical Laboratory Science Department. The position he occupied until his appointment as the Acting Provost of the College in 2015.

Mr Aliyu Abdul-Rauf is married with Children.
