Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa: 2014/2015 Application Information

This is to inform the general public that the admission form into the College for the 2014/2015 academic session is now available on-line from April, 25th 2014.

Interested candidates are to obtain scratch cards to Log on to the College's site from the underlisted banks at the rate of Six Thousand and Five Hundred Naira (N6, 500.00) only.

ENTRY QUALIFICATION

1 Health Education Health Education Technical (HET) 3 5 "O" Level credit passes to include English Language, Biology and any 3 other science related subjects.
Diploma in Health Promotion And Education 2 (a). Applicants for the programme must possess five (5) credit passes in GCE, SSCE, NECO or Grade II, must include English Language, Biology, and any three science subjects including (i.e. Chemistry, Physics, Health Science, Integrated Science, General Science, Nutrition).
(b). For the certificate in Health Education, the prospective applicant must possess five (5) passes in G.C.E, S.S.C.E, NECO, Grade II, NABTEC, which must include English Language, Biology ad other three subjects including (Chemistry, Health Science, Nutrition, Physics, General Science or Integrated Science.
(c). Holder of Environmental Health Assistant (EHA), Junior Community Health Extension worker (JCHEW), Medical Laboratory Assistants (MLA), Dental Surgery Assistants (DSA), Certificate Health Education (CHE) and Pharmacy Assistant certificate (PAC) who have the basic requirements for Diploma, and one year post qualification experience can be admitted into the 200 level of the HPE programme.

3 Environmental Health Sciences ND National Diploma in Environmental Health Technology 2 Five credits in SSCE (NCO or WASC) or GCE "O" Level at not more than two sittings. The subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, Physics, Chemistry, Agric. Science.
EHA Environmental Health Assistant 2 At least four (4) passes in GCE, SSCE, NECO, Grade II Teacher certificate or NABTEB in not more than two sittings. The subjects include Biology/Health Science, Food and Nutrition, Physics, General or Integrated Science, Agric Sci., Geography, Chemistry.

Health Information Technician (HIT) 3 A minimum of four (4) credit passes in relevant subjects, at not more than two (2) sitting at the SSCE, WASC. The subjects must include Mathematics, English Language, Biology/Health Science plus two subjects chosen form Chemistry, Physics, Economics and Geography.
Health Information Management Nation Diploma (ND) 2 A minimum of five (5) credit passes in the relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sitting at the SSCE, WASC. The subject must include Mathematics, English Language, Biology/Health Sciences Plus two subjects chosen from Chemistry, Physics, Economics, and Geography.
5 Nutrition Community Nutrition Technician 3 A minimum of four (4) credit "0" Level in WASC, SSCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB in not more than two sitting of the same examination body. The subjects include Biology, Chemistry/Health Sci., Physics, or any other sciences subject plus at least passes in English and Mathematics.

Public Health Nursing Public Health Nursing (PHN) 2 5 passes at credit level, in English Language, Mathematics, any three (3) science subjects plus Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM), 1 year post basic qualification for RN, plus any post any post basic qualification in Nursing (e.g. A & E Nursing, pre-operative Nursing) psychiatric Nursing or sporadic Nursing.
Health Technician 3 5 credit passes in English, Mathematics, Health Science and any other two subjects in WASCE or NECO at not more than two sittings;
